STAINLESS STEEL CASE - Made from type 316 stainless steel, which is the same steel used in cutlery. It is hard wearing and corrosion resistant.
SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL GLASS - Scratch resistant glass which is hard wearing.
SKELETON HANDS - The hands have a hollow centre enabling you to see the dial beneath.
SKELETON MOVEMENT - A movement, (the working mechanism), with a dial only around the outside allowing you to see the watch movements working parts.
CROWN -This is the knob at the 3 o'clock position, used to wind the watch and set the correct time. It is called a crown because before wrist watches, there were pocket watches, where the knob was at the 12 o'clock position, above the “face”, which is why the knob looked like a “crown”.
QUICK RELEASE STRAP - At the rear of the strap is a small lever which allows you to change the strap quickly, without having to use any tools.
EVA CASE - A rugged but light weight protective case, allowing you to transport your watch safely.
AUTOMATIC MOVEMENT - This movement has a rear mounted oscillating rotor, which rotates when you move your wrist or arm. This rotor then automatically winds the watch mainspring. Hence the name “automatic”. If the watch is worn daily, it will probably not need manual winding.
MANUAL WOUND MOVEMENT - The mainspring of the watch is wound using the crown until resistance is felt, do not wind any further otherwise you could damage the mechanism. Needs to be wound daily.
INDICES - These are the symbols representing the hour markers around the edge of the dial.
ARABIC NUMERALS - i.e. 3 6 9 12
ROMAN NUMERALS - i.e. III IV IX XII
WARNING - Only wind the hands clockwise when setting the time. Some mechanical watch movements do not like being wound anti-clockwise, this can damage the mechanism.
